Svchost.exe has generated errors and will be closed.
I am so happy that computers keep screwing up because, I GET PAID FOR THIS SH**!!!!!
So, don't tell me it's the friggan Blaster because I had reformatted and installed 2000. I then put on the modem and then when I got online for the first time, this message popped up just as we were going to Yahoo mail.
So, what's next.
Oh, yea. Search would not even open up. This is Windows 2000.

Sorry Jonny,
But you've got blaster, your machine was reinfected as soon as you went on line. I know of several cases of this. You'll have to get the cleaning tool, the patch, and firewall, if you've not got them, on another machine, to fix this one before you try to put it on line.
Go over to the security and virus board and search for SVCHOST and BLASTER for the latest info. BF

Both the patch and the removal tool are small enough to fit on (separate) floppy disks.
The patch (this patch replaces 823980):
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=824146
The removal tool:
http://securityresponse.symantec.com...oval.tool.html
