Is There Such a Site as This?

There are sites that one can upload and store photos/images, but is there such a site one can use to upload sound files such as wav or mp3 and then obtain a url to that file for download?

Would one be able to do this with GeoCity or something similar?
What is the easiest rout for doing this?

I have a friend who has made three music CD's and is wanting to sell online. I thought if he had a site where people can download samples of his stuff and purchase online that he'd be able to clear his inventory fast. Faster than he would by playing here and there.

Any suggestions? He had one guy who was gonna set up a site for him but never did. He nor I really know how to go about doing all this. I know some great web designer, but a couple will probably charge high dollar where as one would do it for free.

Most ISP's will give you 5 or 10 megs of space free to set up your own website. From there it would be easy to serve up some mp3 or similar samples of music etc... Tell your friend to go to his/her ISP's home page and look around for a link to set up a personal website.

Here's a site that gives some details about setting up a website and there's some suggestions on other free sites like angelfire or tripod.. both of which offer free space but with ads.

Thanks, at least I know more now then I did a couple days ago. I'll be trying that route.
