IE 6 constantly reconnects to internet

I have WIN ME and Outlook Express 6. I use MSN.com. Problem is, we can be doing anything - including playing solitaire - or other card game, or typing a letter in Wordperfect - - and the dial up will come on and connect - no prompting at all. I have called MSN and gone into the Internet options and changed the settings to never connect - and then, I can't send or receive e-mail. I have made other changes, but no matter which setting I change, it hasn't cured the problem. Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks, Norm69

Hi Norm

Update your anti-virus to the latest version, then do a scan of your system. Could be some trojan trying to call home. Or worm trying to get out. BF
