Log on screen - How to stop
Once I close and then re-open the laptop screen, XP makes me click on the only account on the computer to get back to windows. Is there a way to just open the laptop screen and it go directly to windows? When I start the computer normally, it does not require me to select the account since there's only one account anyways.
Thanks in advance

Hi BigTimeNovice.
I am not completly familiar with laptops but you can try going to the screensave tab in display properties and unchecking "on resume, display welcome screen. Hope it helps
kickin_it is not just a hip or cool name it is what i suggest you do if all else fails " boot the MF "

The option you are looking for is to go to Control Panel -> Power Options -> Advanced tab, and uncheck the "Prompt for password when computer resumes from standby"

If that doesn't work, TweakUI will get rid of the logon screen.
