    outlook express acting funny

outlook express has been acting funny lately mainly just the fact that for some reason when i go to view->layout, the "show preview pane" check box is grayed out and it is already unchecked, but yet the preview pane is still there, i have recently made different profiles and disabled services following Black Viper's instructions on HIS WEBSITE but even when i am on the default profile where everything is the same as it was before i did that, it is still greyed out, any ideas on how i can get the preview pane to go away and get outlook express to act "normal"?

    thanx

ok well i just happned to check to see if it was still liek that and for some reason i can check and uncheck it now i didnt do anythign at all but thanx welshjim i went ahead and checked out those links

but now i have another OE6 question so i figured instead of started another thread, i would just post it in here

i added mail rules to oe6 following black vipers instructions located HERE

i have a hotmail account that oe6 imported and set everything up for me by itself using add acounts, but i cannot apply the rules to my hotmail inbox on to the local folders inbox, which i do not have an account for that inbox, is there a way to apply the rules to my hotmail account, or is there a way to make Local Folders be my homtail folders?

if that didnt make sense i will try to explain better

I do not run Hotmail, so I hope someone who does will help you.
Does Hotmail, have a Help button?
