Space on HDD
I've just installed WinFast TV 2000 XP capture card to convert my VHS tapes on HDD and then to CDs.
I'm interested to know how much space does it take on HDD and CD a 5 minute record on VHS.
Is there any good link regarding that
Thanks in advance

I believe that would depend on the format you capture them in. Mpeg1, mpeg2, Divx, etc.
Lots of info on capturing, codecs, converting, etc. here:
http://www.dvdrhelp.com/
I have a couple of avi's made from captured vhs that are about 5 minutes long and they are a little over 200 mb each. Mpg files are smaller. Around 65+ mb.
Who is General Failure and why is he reading my disk?

The options and setting of the program you are using will give you some of those details. You could also later convert those to a smaller compressed format. ShowShifter automatically converters or creates new recording into divx format rather than mpeg4.
