    Audio/Video Problem

I will attempt to explain this problem. I think it stems from a little while ago when I was getting tons of pop ups even when IE wasn't open. I downloaded adaware and another program. Ever since a lot of audio and video files wont work. I have been trying to do work on premiere and it is unable to connect to capture. Here is a post my roommate posted on another board for help...

"I'm using an adaptec fireconnect 4300 firewire card to capture dv from a jvc dv camera to premiere 6.5. When I launch premiere I get an error that say:

Premiere was unable to connt to the native Microsoft(Tm) DV support on this machine. This setting was designed to only work with an OHCI IEEE 1394 (Firewire, iLink) card with an approved microsoft dv driver....

It tells me to unistall the drivers that came with the card,, and then install microsoft drivers for the card. I have done this, and followed every step on the adobe site. I've also tried removing codecs that could potentially cause a conflict. After about 10 hours of troubleshooting and research,, it still doesn't work. "

I havn't worked on it in a few days so my mind isn't too deep into it like before so just asked me questions if I forgot to list something.

Any help will be much appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Lman

    Try >>>>HERE <<<<
I guess it's a common problem, seen it listed elsewhere.

The card may not be supported.

I've actually read that page and posted on that site. I have spend some good time trying to figure this out. Plus 20 hours. The thing that is really stumping me is that it worked on my last computer with the same hard drive, but the processor in that one was too slow, and was dropping frames. This is one of the reasons I got a new computer. If anyone finds out more about it let me know, I'll be searching.
