Not sure, but maybe your 9K plus posts have answered all the questions. Perhaps it is time for you to move on to XP from that 2000 you have been running.

This weekend will try putting old W95 in a TI laptop for a friend, already told him not to expect much out of a P-75 and 8 megs of ram.

OMG I chased them all away....BJ I didn't mean too....

Actually, don't remember much about "95" but have hundred's of bookmarks on "95"....and "98"..

Yep LOVE W2K.....we have been talking about combining this forum with the others, but owners wanted to leave for those die-hard "95" users...

I still have "95" OSR2 as a third O/S on another puter, use to trouble shoot....

Oh well at least someone is still dropping by here....

"95" will run OK on 8 megs will not be a "burner" though.. memory is cheap convince friend to add more.....

Sorry, but after resisting the move upstairs I've finally had to do it and am now on W98se. All because I got a Web Cam and it's USB...Ah well...
Maybe it needs to be combined into 98 as suggested a little while back...
    Anyway, I still look in...
What sort of redundancy package is VDR offering???

Being that there has only been about 45 threads in the last 100 days, I'd say it's at least near death!

Well "MAC" has only had half as many for the same time period, but then I thought they died off years ago.

    Hi friends,
I dont think that Win95 is dead. This thread has 100+ viewers. Also, I posted a thread and in less than two minutes there were two viewers already.
I think its a great fun to have so may OS's around so that you can learn, experiment and sometimes do things that may not be possible with newer machines/OS's.
I also nurses nostalgia and a surefire cure for insomnia for new generation users.
    Regards.

There's still tons of info on, and apps for, Win95:

I'm still running W95a on my "hobby" machine:

    PB600 Mobo, Pentium@ 100Mhz
    140Mb, 4.3G Seagate HD
    Win95a (PB OEM)
    cr574 CDrom (panasonic)

    Switching to:
    10g WD HD, Win95 OSR2
(when I find time, like after it starts raining...)
