Configuring Hotmail to Come Thru Outlook Express
Hello Everyone!
I'm writing on behalf of my room-mate! We had to install the restore disc on her computer over the weekend and now restoring everything. It's all done except for her Hotmail account. She had it configured to come through her Outlook Express Mail program. I have mine doing the same thing but it seems mine had a tab for Hotmail under the tools and accounts for Hotmail when adding a new account. Her's does not....unless I'm looking in the wrong place. If someone would help me I would appreciate it very much. She connects using AOL. ( I know.....AOL.....sucks big time......LOL)
Thanks very much and have a great Monday!

AttaGirl42--Good for you!!
But why not post what you did, so others, perhaps those running a search on this topic, will learn how to do it.

Well, the reason I did not post what I di to get it working was that I had gone back on this forum and found the exact way to accomplish it and I did not want to be redundant.
I went to Outlook Express Clicked on TOOLS then clicked on ACCOUNTS then Clicked on ADD and clicked MAIL Tab and entered in the name of my room-mate and clicked NEXT. Then I filled in her HOTMAIL e-mail address in the supplied box and clicked NEXT. For the INCOMING MAIL SERVER, I clicked on HTTP, then the next window under HTTP MAIL SERVICE PROVIDER, I clicked on Hotmail.
From there it was all downhill.
