    Unhappy Taskbar Not Staying !

    Windows XP Pro
    512 mg Ram
    SP1
    HP Pavillion 9702


    Ihave the task bar locked but whenever I restart the comp the taskbar is back to it's original config,ie: icons hidden behind arrow.

    Make sense......when shuting down...Windows does say " Saving Yor Settings"

    Any suggestions??

    if you right click on your taskbar and select properties do you have the "hide inactive icons" box checked or unchecked?? not the lock taskbar. its at the very bottom under notification.

    in that case, i believe that would be enable quick launch.

    Right-click the Taskbar, and uncheck "Lock the taskbar" then drag the dotted vertical line to the right until all the icons are visible, then recheck "Lock the taskbar". The arrow should then disappear for good.
