Mpeg to VHS
Hi guys. I'm looking for info on how to get an mpg, mpeg etc.... movie from my hard drive onto a VHS videotape.
I assume I need a lead to connect my PC to my VCR, but what else is involved software wise? Is there a program ou there that works like CD burning software, i.e. just tell it you want a certain movie onto VHS and it does the work for you???
A step by step guide, or a link to website for begginers would be nice.
Thanks in advance.
The Major.

Hi and welcome to Virtualdr..
It's actually a pretty simple process and can be done without extra software.. All you'd need is a video card with a tv out jack and plug that into the vcr.. audio would also have to be patched independantly from the line out of the pc into the audio in of the vcr.
Then just play the mpeg while recording on the vcr.

if u have a dvd player that can play that mpeg file (or after burning it as a vcd), u should b able to get the vcr to record the channel that the file is playing on.
make sure the audio cable(s) is connected to the television aswell as the video one
