    Unhappy Cyclic Redundancy Check ??

    XP PRO
    512 MG RAM

    I HAVE REFORMATED SEVERAL TIMES OVER THE PAST TWO YEARS AND HAVE HAD NO TROUBLE REINSTALLING SP1 ( not yelling!)
    but the past couple of times before the setup is complete an error box with the above mentioned comes up...any suggestions?

    Sounds like you could have a hard drive failure in progress....

    the only other option would be to try the sp1 from another location. PC Pro magazine issued a version back at the beginning of the year.. else you could try downloading the network administrator version which is basically sp1 in an exe format. but it is large which may or may not be a problem for you.... (it is for me!)
