Angry Do yourself a favor don't use internet explorer wait don't use windows either.

Internet Explorer keeps freezing on this site. On mail.excite.com, on www.petfinder.com and a few other sites. "Hanging application iexplore.exe, version 6.0.2800.1106, hang module hungapp, version 0.0.0.0, hang address 0x00000000." Yet I can view those site''s fine on netscape and I don't get any freeze ups but with Interfreeze Explorer peace of c**p browser crashes it closes all of the windows I might have open, when I try to use another window that window freezes up too. Plus windows xp loves to give me an explorer crash when I try to close any open folders I have open for a while. "Faulting application explorer.exe, version 6.0.2800.1221, faulting module , version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x00000000."
Do yourself a favor use a mac or linix, I will be switching soon.

Since you're not asking a question, but rather telling us what we should do, an answer can't be given when a question is never asked! No help there!

Beside, the Linux and Mac forums could use some traffic.

I haven't had a system FREEZE on my in years. Your PC is messed up. Don't blame MS for that.

We've been over and over this one, Reddice. If there was really a problem with IE don't you think we'd all be ranting about it? I haven't had IE freeze on me in over a year, and even then it was just a one-off.

At the end of the day, if you like Netscape, use Netscape - why even bother with IE if you hate it so?

yeah, I have win98se, and unless I try to do something completely asinine, this OS has been rock solid. ive had IE freeze on me only 2x and that was due to me using up all my system resources.

I crash explorers occasionally but that's 'cause I overclock like a madman.... I expect to have problems when I'm beyond spec.
Go get a DELL. And if you can get it to crash the tech guys would love to spend time fixing it with you. A factory-built will help eliminate not enough cooling and not enough power as potential sources of problems. If your hardware is whacked, don't expect linux to work any better than MS.

Certain sites will not work with netscape which is wrong but they don't freeze.

reddice you seem to have a problem you or us cant figure out with ie6. i recommended to you one time to uninstall ie6 and reinstall it or another version of ie . if this doesnt do the trick you should do a clean install or if you have a recovery disc use it to go back to factory settings. if you are the only one having all these problems you it is evident it is something in your pc.

    I.E.-REDDICE

i'm running xphome on this compacq US5400 and use I.E. all the time. have to agree with the others, your systems may be clogges,ie: using up too much resources. try putting in more memory. i've hacked this thing 3 ways to sunday and I.E. has never failed me. nice adopted pet site for homeless animals. no problem opening it either.
