IE works fine for browing. its only email

The system has been reformatted with another hard drive installed. It aint the hard drive It aint the Windows load

Clean load of Windows. I just did it. Does the same thing

I am a tech. I have looked long and hard for this issue

    Been there, done that

As an interesting note, I formatted and reloaded my laptop at the same time. It has a PCMCIA modem. It works fine. No problems at all

I used the same cd for Windows, the same IE 6 upgrade. Everything is identical. It works fine on the old laptop (P 166). I figured that I might as well clean them both out at the same time

I cannot find a resoltion to this anywhere

This drive has been reformatted, re fdisked rewritten Zeroes to and replaced. Been there done that

This is a clean load. Brand new. I just did it yesterday.
there are no two versions of Windows that are the same

    Whats the solution?
    I am truly stumped

Could it be maybe the NVidia video card drivers?

But why only with Outlook Express or Mailwasher?
Why only something that accesses email?

That cant be. Different video cards do the same thing

I have no clue and have run the gamut with this one

    A tough one to crack.

    1. This error can occur if you have a Plug and Play program active in memory when you try to install Windows.

    2. Are you using the DMIStart utility? If so:

    a. Restart the computer. Press and hold down the CTRL key until the Windows 98 Startup menu appears, and then choose Safe Mode.

    b. Click Start, point to Programs, point to Accessories, point to System Tools, and then click System Information.

    c. On the Tools menu, click System Configuration Utility.

    d. On the Startup tab, click to clear the check box next to DMIStart.

    e. Click OK. When you are prompted to restart the computer, click Yes.
Please do not use "PM" for personal help, post in forum so everybody can learn

    2 No DMI utility.

PCS, I'm sure you have been through Mr. Google for this.
    Key words I used:
    Fatal exception OE in vwin32
Many hits in various forms I'm sure you could sort out relevence
    in short order.
Hope this gets better for you.
