    Question Conexant Modem Problems

I have a Conexant Soft K56 Modem and I was told that they can be unstable at times with win xp. I have also heard that there is a driver available that can be used that will fix the problem but I have not been unable to find any reference to a driver that would work
Heard at a local auto-repair shop:
    "I couldn't repair your brakes,
so I made your horn louder."

I had tried the driver from the qoted site (Windrivers???) they are useless.
XP will find the driver for the connexant 56soft modem it is in the inf. folder Under normal circumstances it will automatically install the "Best" (this is the actual name of the driver) modem driver.
I automatically update this in the control panel with the "connexant generic" driver also included with XP. The approximate speed gain is 20% I hope this helps

I feel as if I have to jump in to defend windrivers as they are not the site linked to (driverguide).

windrivers.com is many a techs best friend.
