There's a great Powertoy for XP called "Open command window here" that you might be interested in. You can just right click any folder chosse "open command window here", and the command prompt will appear in that folder.

Andre, Click Start, Accessories, Right Click on Command Prompt, find Send to, Click Desktop (Create Shortcut). You are back in business with no hassle. The Icon is on the screen and if you want it real handy, drag it down to the Quick Start area of the task bar to the right of the Start button. Works like a charm.

Andre, you are welcome. All of us have had problems (still do) with PC's and we try to help one another. There a several solutions to some problems and it is good to know what they are so the one that best suits each user can be utilized.
Hope we have helped and not hindered.

I agree, Kokomo 36. Still I consider it amazing that someone out there in Arkansas (I think that's where you live) can help someone else in France in just a few seconds and I hope that friendship will remain stronger than selfishness and stupidity, that last word being often redundant with the one before.

Andre, I agree whole heartedly with what you wrote about friendship. It is my pleasure to be able to help you and others solve problems. The forum has helped me a few times so I try to return the favor.
I live in Arkansas in the Ozark Mountains.
