Is Outlook Better
For home use is OE sufficient or is Outlook the best for any scenario ?
I have both but as I have always used OE I would value opinions on switching the Outlook or not
Thanks in advance.

If you have it installed->try and decide for yourself.
It takes up much more resources and if you only want to do email, stick with OE.
If you're happy and you know it......it's your meds.

Thanks
Hi
I think the fact that it would take up resources should sway me to staying with OE as it really is just for sending e-mails.
I would probably use some of the features but only because they are there not out of necessity !! Most likely be best to let another program which I do need have the resources to run ....
Thank you for your reply

You can enable the Outlook bar in OE and make it look just like Outlook...
I use Outlook since I have it but every other computer uses OE and I do'nt miss it on them at all...

I use OE and have tried Outlook with dreadful results.
I guess it isn't as bad as that, but Outlook tends to be too much of a problem when it runs all day in the taskbar. Send/Receive causes errors when the program runs for an extended period, I have constant issues with the address book, .... I guess that personally, I don't like it and would agree with earlier post that recomends that you try it yourself.

Badger--It really is not so much a matter of what is better, but whether you need the extra features of Outlook. Here is the official comparison

I love Outlook. Express is good for email but Outlook has tons of features. I love the calender and day planner. It also reminds me a few days before birthdays and anniversaries that I have placed in the calendar as a re-occuring event. Now I can't forget my wifes birthday or our anniversary.

It's only better if you can benefit from the added feature in Outlook over Lookout Express. I've tried O2K and O2K2, I saw no benefit in me using it. I'm too in love with Eudora!

Eudora
Hi
Where can I go and look at this Eudora program ?
Is it a bit like OE but more stable .... ( that wouldn't be too hard ! )
What would happen to IE will he talk to Eudora or does he need to
Not worried about the calendar reminders as my Psion 5 series does all that for me. I don't need to boot it as it plays a tune to remind me even if I am not using it

OUTLOOK EXPRESS
I've used Outlook Express for 2 years now and find it very stable and useful. I've even set it in my taskbar through HIDE OE free software.
never had any problems with the addressbook either.
I'm running XP HOME on a Compacq US5400.
