WinXP and WMP
Running XP Pro and have windows media player 9 installed. Is there a way to have it default to WMP 6.4 which is also installed on this machine.

Just like you can make Windows Media Player 9 your default player under Tools > Options > File Types, I'm guessing that there's a similar option in Winamp (its been a while since I've had Winamp on my computer and I don't remember the option features).
If, however, its CD "auto play" that you're interested in, go to: My Computer > (right click) select the drive that you use > Properties > "auto play" and pick your defaults for different media.

DuaneB, thanks for the reply. However I meant Windows Media Player 6.4.
I just tried opening each player and unassociated the file types in WMP 9 and reassociated them in WMP 6.4
That seemed to do the trick. Problem solved.

Right-click on a file and choose 'Open With', then 'choose program', Browse to Windows Media Player folder and choose mplayer2.
Hope this is what you want to do.
