To much memory
I have an extra stick of 256 memory and I would like to know if I would gain anything by adding it to the 512 megs of memory I already have
Heard at a local auto-repair shop:
"I couldn't repair your brakes,
so I made your horn louder."

I think you'll notice a difference in apps.
I'm a graphic designer so I have a number of apps open at the same time. I had 512, I bought another 256 and noticed a difference opening larger files, and processing info was faster. But overall - not too much of a difference. Would help playing games too I'd imagine.

It is not a too much memory, just make sure that both stickes are of the same speed in terms of MHz (ie; 100 or 133)

Contrary to what you read, you will notice very little speed change over 512 [less than 2%] except for very large graphic programs and some very new games. Day to day stuff you won't see any difference.

Yes... that's what I was trying to say...
Thank you for clarifying that for me..

On the day to day stuff, guess it depends on how many you have open at the same time.
