    Question XP Professional Updates

    My Widows XP Pro. updates download properly, but they do not install. I do not have AOL, my ISP is AT&T. Searched Google, MS help sites, no real help.
    Any suggestions are welcome.

    Several people here have had this problem, and have used this fix successfully.

    1. Close all open programs
    2. Delete C:\Windows\System32\CATROOT2 folder.
    3. Repeat the attempt to install Windows Updates.

    Windows will automatically recreate the deleted CATROOT2 folder

    Thanks DuaneB, this solve the problem. I wonder why MS do not ha a fix for this?
