Dual Boot issue windows 2000 and XP

I have a dual boot set up with 2000 pro and Xp pro...2000 I use for my productivity and playing while XP I use for work....I have a drive image clone of my 2000 side and have not yet made one for XP....my 2000 clone has an issue with it somewhere that is causing me to lose connectivity on my network...instead of spending hours to figure out the problem I want to format and do a clean install and then reclone...question is this...can I back up my key files and emails from the XP side....then do a clean install of both 2000 and XP for the dual boot...then restore the xp from my clone....having a clean dual boot with all my XP files for work? or since my XP side works great....can I format 2000 and reinstall and copy the dual boot files back to the c drive....and if so what files do I need to make the dual work again?

I would use use PM 8 to hide the w2k and when you reboot slip the DI 2002 floppy in and burn your cd[s].

Come to think about it, use PM to format the w2k partition and when it reboots have the w2k cd in the cdrom and install.

    I then installed/reactivated Bootmagic.

98SE,WinME and xp triple boot and I had to redo WinMe.
Anyway tricks I have pulled that worked.
