Drop Down Box Still There
I am trying to delete things I have typed into boxes (for example things I have searched for using the Search option) in Win XP Home. I have deleted all cookies, TIF, and all autocomplete options are off? What to do without installing a new program?
Thank you

Have you tried clearing the History?

Yes I have done this. The drop down box has all the things i've looked for and has like 3 diagonal lines in its bottom right corner.

To clear previous entries in Search only, open Search then go to Change Preferences and then click "Turn Auto Complete off." It will appear as if nothing happens and it takes you back to the first Search window but if you go back through "Change Preferences," you will see that line now read "Turn Auto Complete on."
Search is apparently one of the few, if not the only component of Windows that doesn't rely on IE for its settings.
