    FYI Windows Pop-up Stopper

    Windows-All Browsers
    Pop-up Stopper Free Edition works much better than the older
    version. All IE links open without having to hold Ctrl key down
    on some.
    Windows 98 Fe, slow dialup, and IE6 and it works perfect.
    www.panicware.com select link to free version.
    Just a little tool for smoother surfing.
    Plenty of other ones out there, I'm sure, but this does me fine.

    Just another positive vote here. Only thing i'd suggest is to not let it load at startup. Unnecessary. Just drag it's icon down to the quick start and use it as needed. Works for me...
