What's the Quietest Power Supply out there?
I am wanting or needing to replace my PS, because it is too loud. I can hear it from 30 feet away or more. My current one is only one year old, and it's always been "LOUD". Its a Antec 400 watt model.
So I'm looking at the Ultra Quiet Power Supply 400 Watt is there a quieter one out there? Or what would you suggest?
Thanks

It seem the fan of your PS is nearing to break down. That's where the noise may come from. The best way is to test the prospect PS at the store. I, for my use, changed the fan of a cheap PS with ball bearing type.

Interesting comparison article here. I use an Enermax 431w and am very happy with it---pretty quiet. Now...that one you linked to claims 28 decibels or less. I would check to see if anyone has done actual tests on that before swallowing that line. If its true, go for it---hard to get any quieter than that. But I have my serious doubts on that claim. If they can get it that quiet, then I wonder if they sacrificed some other feature (i.e. internal temps, power conditioning) to achieve that much silence.
