    Micro$haft is at it again

Micro$haft is getting ready to stick it to us again. Read all about it HERE. Vaseline not included in software license fee of $799. Microsofts take: We don't care that you can buy the vaseline elsewhere for 99 cents--we'll make sure it's not compatible, so give us your money and deal with it. Oh, that's right, you can't do anything about it, can you? Oh yeah, Uncle Bill and the gang in Redmond is trying to put a positive spin on it to disguise it as the brazen money grab that it is, but I ain't buying it!!

Ignore the liberal media. They do not report the news but their slanted infotainment version of it, and should be declared enemy combatants for willfully undercutting and sabotaging the ongoing war on terror. It's OK to disagree with the reason for the war, but sabotaging the effort is treason.

Read thru it several times and it looks to me like they're saying it will be a charge(in one way or another) to the sender of the spam, not the recipient?

If i read it wrong,my apologies, but that's what it looks like to me...
    Stupid question? No such thing!

Yeah, I read it through, but I just do not believe Micro$haft's spinmeisters. Uncle Bill wouldn't be messing with it if he didn't see $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ signs in his eyelids. Keep in mind everybody would pay when they send email, not just spammers. I'm all for finding a workable, practical, low- or no-cost solution to control spam, but this ain't it.

The solution seems simple to me...somebody other than Microsoft writes the software to control, maybe even eliminate spam and gives it away or sells it for so little people can't afford not to buy it.

Hmmm....haven't heard of anybody else trying to develop software for this particular niche. That, you see, is the genius of Microsoft....they find a niche which is in need of software development, get their stuff out first and everybody else has to play catchup.

Hah, they wish. Only downside in that plan is that I'm sure more than a few major email admins will take about as much of a dislike to an MS-controlled solution as they do to spam. As soon as a few major sites start blocking all MS-tainted mail for philosophical reasons it'll die out.
