Why don't the folders in explore stay in aphanum order?
ok, hopefully this isn't a tuff question but can someone tell me why the file folders in explore don't stay in large icon view and arrange icon by name if I set it in the folders I'm using. Once I get out and back in it's as if it goes to a default and it's not what I left it as. Is there a way to stop the folders from changing the way and order they look. Thx in advance.

I figured it out.
Go to explore, tools, folder options, view and whatever view you set in the explore window that's currently open, you select Like Current Folder button. Then from then on all the explorer folders will display the same.

I've tried this because my folders don't stay the way I want them to. Every time I go back, they have reverted to the large icons when I always want them in list view.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks a bunch.

Have you tried?
Have you tried the "Remember each folder's view setting" switch in the Folder Options under Tools?

Yes, I always click on "Remember each folder's view setting" and that's why I expect it to stay the way I put them. Also, when I make changes to my startup group under "Accessories", "Systems Tools", "System Information", "Configuration", click Apply, and restart the computer, anything I've changed reverts to the default settings.
Still looking for any suggestions that might help. Is there somewhere on the computer where I need to make a change so it will accept the changes. No one uses the computer but me.
Thanks.
