How reliable are 99 min disks ? i ask this after reading the plextor page.

"stretching the envelope" of CD-R technology actually causes the 99-minute discs to deviate from the accepted book standards, and fail in many CD-RW drives. Any minute physical variation in the disc itself, such as thickness variations of the polycarbonate or reflective alloy, or flutter caused by an eccentric (i.e, out-of-balance) disc, are magnified at the outer edge and may result in excessive jitter, or be beyond the capability of the CD-R mechanism to read with a minimum error rate. As a result, most drive vendors do not expend resources testing or qualifying an as-yet unproven, unknown, and, in most cases, marginal quality media. Because they do not test with this non-standard media, they cannot guarantee the performance of the drive or the quality of the written data on this media, and do not officially support the use of 90 or 99-minute media"
