help virus!!!
i just used avast32 and i knew i had a virus cause all my exes are the default icon i would download and exe and it would be the icon that it came with but when i restarted or shut down the next time i looked at the icon it would be the default...the virus is win32:hantaner that all my exes are infected with. how do i remove this virus and keep it from infecting all the exes i d/l and how do i repair the exes i have now cause avast32 cant repair them

This is a KaZaa virus, it was first seen about 3 months ago:

Note that in the removal instructions you will have to disable System Restore (and delete your Restore Points).

maybe it can find and remove them, i didnt understand the instruction posted either, just looked like dnloads to get your virus defs. up to date to run after you shut down system restore. i could not find any other links on removal, did read 1 link that said avg caught it. good luck.

Hi... look I'm not bragging about.. but trendmicro.com's pccillin is the best, pay for av for updates. price is unbelievable. you will be a happy camper.
