If it was my hard drive, yes I would have formatted. Oh by the way, my XP was with a format and clean install. I did on the ME drive removed all devices in Device Manager on the hard drive in Safe Mode before the upgrade took place. Everything looks fine in Device Manager and also in the BIOS. Just a problem with the restarts and reset button.
