ftp server over network to the internet!
Hi guys,
This is what i want to do.
i used to have a ftp server on my machine but i have since moved the modem(braodband) to another machine and i am using the internet though ics.
Now what i want to do is have the ftp server running off my machine going through the network onto the internet how do i do this ?.
My system specs
Windows me + network card - through a hub
G6 ftp server v2.0.
Other system.
Windows Xp Pro + network card
Alcatel speedtouch usb modem.

I want to correct your line of thinking... You want the internet to come through the LAN to your FTP Server.
You need to forward ports on your ICS "server". ports 20 and 21 for active transfers.

hi how will i do this ?
The ics server is running windows xp and is using the built in ics.
i dont really want to install any third party software on this machine if i dont have to.

You will have to install an FTP server and as Pakrat stated, forward the ports.
