    replacing missing files

Norton has informed me that I am missing a file that should be replaced but I have not been able to find a way to replace this file short of reinstalling the program . Can anyone be of assistance in this matter. The info from Norton is

    "C:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield\Professional\RunTime\0700\Intel32\DotNetInstaller.exe" cannot access a necessary file, "mscoree.dll."

Any info would be appreciated very much

The only thing I don't get is the fact that this was just detected by Norton recently(few weeks) so I wonder why it did not detect it prior. I will ck. to see if the file is actually missing from the folder(something I should haver done prior to bothering any of you folks.)
Many thanks for the reply .I am on the verg of installing XP Pro but have alot of video and audio work on several hard drives and editing programs and such to deal with causing me to stall out as ME has mostly done well for editing video. And I dread starting from scratch again in all honesty.
