p4 2.7 or AMD 2700+?
Hi all,
Im looking to upgrade my cpu and im stuck!
Either p4 2.7 or AMD 2700+
I have the choice of motherboard to go with the cpu so doesnt matter which!
Im just looking for some help comparing the two, pros and cons!
Any help welcome

On looking at your specs,,all i can say is,,why bother? Only upgrade i'd suggest is your CPU. And the only reason i say that, is because i just bought(upgraded?),my CPU to a lowly AMD XP 1700 with JIUHB stepping and punched it up to 1700Mhz(XP2000+) and it runs at 42c and very stable. And you can get it(if you hurry ) at newegg for us$53.00 with free shipping!!!
Bottom line? Money ain't everything,,ya' know?

walker2009: Personally i prefer AMD because of price/performance ratio compared to Pentium. No flaming here please as i have both AMD and Pent. Also built hundreds of both. Check out this link to see what you might configure and the cost of product:
