    Schedule computer to startup??

    Is there a way to schedule computer startup & shutdown in windows XP? That is, the computer would turn ON and OFF automatically on a specified date & time.

    Most of my PCs let me set start up and shutdown times in the BIOS. This is only daily, so I can schedule by the hour but not the date.

    You could schedule shutdown using the task sheduler combined with the SHUTDOWN command. I would recommend these switches: -r -t 01
