Multi inf install

HI,

I have a packard bell here that wont install the bundled software that came with it ie ms word and works.

So i go into the cabs folder and find the word inf files there is about 10 of them and i have to click on them one at a time there is also quite a few works files that i want to install at the same time.

i have tried to select them all and click install but i think it only installed the one i clicked on.

by the time you read this i would have done it but i want to know how to do it in future.

You can hold down the CTRL key as you click which will include ALL your selections.

As far as your problem goes, it sounds as if some other program is causing a conflict but I think it's a sharing .dll problem.

Run Scandisk /Defrag and of course your Virus Detector. Disable ANY Firewalls, reboot and try again.

Did you shut down all programs running in the background, except Explorer and Systray, before installing?

Is there adequate HD space to install the programs?

i was actually using a pb restore disk.

when it gets the installing software point it will just sit there doing nothing the only way to stop it from doing this is to ctrl alt del and install the software manually.
