    anyone know any info on web design major in college?

    I am a freshman in College, and I need help researching web design job info.


    -What is needed? Certificates? Degrees?
    -What kinda college experience is needed? University? State? Community?
    -What kinda portfolio is needed? XML, HTML, Java, Perl, CGI?????


    Do you guys know any websites that provide info such as this stuff?

    Web designers usually need know a combination of the following: Java, HTML, ASP, XML, Pearl, JavaScript and SQL. Also working with Photoshop wouldn't hurt. They usually need to know SQL for database projects. It really is what the job requires. Also, it wouldn't hurt to brush up a little bin on Macromedia Flash.

    hey what does it mean when it says 4 + years of experience required? Does that include college courses? or internships even during college?
