Request new forum for Server based software.
It would be nice to have a separate forum for server related software problems. Things like problems with Active Directory, Exchange server, SQL, etc..... I have posted many queries in the General Software forum, but they tend to be buried with the EASY QUESTIONS and mostly go unanswered. It would be nice to have a forum intent on solving the bigger problems that us Network application engineers face daily (the network forum doesn't really apply).

Sorry Pat, but before the big changeover it was kicked around for quite sometime on what forums they would run here at VDR & it was decided that the ones we have now is what it's going to be. But hang in there who knows what may happen down the road. BJ

I propose that we could use the network forum for this.
I also have server questions and get buried with the easier questions.
How about in the subject line post "SERVER" and a reference to which software SQL,EXCHANGE ect...
"SERVER-SAMBA" or "SERVER-SQL"
Those of us wanting to read and/or help in the thread would know it's a server only thread.
I bet Newt and Pakrat would be drawn in by the bright light.
What do you all think?

Is there another Internet.com site that
....focuses on Server related issues? Like I mentioned, it is difficult getting help on these problems in the general software forum due to the heavy traffic.
I think that the Network forum should be split to Home Networking and Business Networking if there is any chance Nodular suggestion is deemed better.
