I was looking at a couple sites, I know there is a registry value for maxconnections at once for 98 etc. Can you change it so you can download more then 2 things at once with windows XP using IE?

are you using 56k or cable??
bandwidth on a 56 k may prevent more than 2 downloads.

can those programs download everything IE can?
I know those those third party programs can download files when they have solid links like www.blah.com/whatever.exe but what about the sites where you have to be on their website, then you click on a non solid link www.blah.com/item4564 then it downloads a file named whatever.exe.
