Last Good & Last Good Temp Folders ?
Can someone explain what the Last Good & Last Good Temp folders in C:\WINNT are used for? It appears that they are leftovers after using Windows Update from previous versions that the Windows Update updated (i.e. Microsoft VM build 3805 updated to build 3809). Can I delete the folders or the files within the folders as there are quite a few MB of files?
TIA

Well my Last Good folder contains a load of stuff from when I updated my nVidia drivers the other day, so it would appear to be temporary files. If you really need to recover the disk space make sure you create a Restore Point before you delete anything, if the worst comes to the worst you can boot up in Safe Mode and use System Restore to put things back. Even safer still, rename the folders - that way you can rename them back using the Recovery Console. Leave it a few days to see if anything screams, if nothing does then delete them.
Nick.
