XP/printer problem

I still in the dark ages (using Win 98). Anyone with XP printer driver experience care to take a look at this thread?

i am the one who posted in the printers forum i have my printer working good now, dont understand what happen unless xp downloaded a driver for a lexmark 4103 printer to take the place of my compaq ij600 driver however they are two diffrent programs all together now i check my cartridges a diffrent way and do my preferences in a diffrent way but it is now working like i want it to. thanks to jerryctx on the other forum for the help has any xp user had anything like this to happen before
