    "mmc.exe Application Error" message

    When I first updated to Win XP Home it ran flawlessly. I now frequently get an error dialogue box labeled "mmc.exe - Application Error". The box reads: "The instruction at "0x77f516c5" referenced memory at "0x008e0010". The memory could not be "read". Click on OK to terminate the program."

    I click the "OK" button, the error message goes away & not much else seems to happen! Any way to correct/eliminate this annoying error message?

    there is some info on the above link, but i got some gator install pop ups and i had to close it to get out, the back button didnt work on ie. just so you know.
