Broken mp3 or antipiracy technology!!!
I have an mp3 file which WinAmp plays ok but Windows Media Player (WMP) doesn't. It executes ok but there is no sound when playing via WMP. I don't know how was mp3 file "encoded" or any history of the file. If someone has ideas please share with us!

One suggestion is to install dBpowerAMP Music Converter :
http://www.dbpoweramp.com/dmc.htm
It will put a "Convert to" option in the right click menu. Then right click the mp3 and convert it to wave and see if it plays ok. If it does, you can right click the wave file and re-encode it to mp3.
