USB support in Win 95
As I recall, USB support was added in 95 B and was not entirely reliable. Is my memory correct or am I having a senior moment?
Are there any updates or add-ons from MS or others that help/fix USB under 95?
I met a fella who was given a computer in 1996. He never used it till now.

You are correct - Win95A does not have USB support - Win95B does. I've not experienced much good luck with the USB in Win95B either.
I am not aware of an upgrade - other than the move up to Win98... but hey, I get those senior moments too...

Availability of Universal Serial Bus Support in Windows 95
Microsoft always complicates things-- there's a Win95B that DOES have USB support, and a Win95B that doesn't. However, if you have Win95 or Win95A you know with certainty that you do not have USB support.
"If you have a version of Windows 95 that does not have USB support, and you want USB support, Microsoft recommends that you upgrade to Windows 98 Second Edition." I had a feeling they'd say that.

Windows 95 C had USB support and I did not see much difference in that version and Windows 98 first edition.
If you think AOL sucks just try MSN to see really bad service.
