    WHY!! Oh WHY!!

Why Do Most of YOU, When Given an Answer to Your Question, NEVER COME BACK TO TELL ANY OF US, THAT IT HELPED TO SOLVE IT, or IT SOLVED YOUR PROBLEM. Or It is Still Un-Solved...
It Would Be Very Nice Indeed if ALL of you Lovely People who Have Never said "Thanks, That Helped" or "No Go, Still trying" would Make a New Years Resolution...."I Must Tell The Good Peeps In This Forum That My Problem Is Solved", Or " I still Got The Prob Can You Help" for 2003......
MERRY CHRISTMAS and A HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERY MEMBER...
MODS....THANKS FOR DOING A GREAT JOB n FOR A GREAT FORUM.....TAKE CARE ALL....
    regards, Dennis...

Unless people bookmark the site, they may never find their way back to reply to their thread.

Although email notification should allow them to get back easy enough.

Anyway I think that's just peoples nature unfortunately.

I think I have probably been guilty of doing it and now feel I should go back and check all threads I have started to see that I finished them up appropriately.

Maybe the forum software could be modified to keep sending the thread starter emails until they mark the thread closed / finished.

Users can't close threads, they can only delete them (no telling the logic in that). If I don't hear back from someone, and I was the only one to reply, I can assume that the advice helped. That's enough gratification for me .

It is nice when the thread is ended by the person starting the thread. So as someone doing a search for a problem they have, ends up with a solution known to have worked or not, for someone else.

    I'm with scarecrowdr\Dennis,

It is very inconsiderate to not post back at least to say, it worked, or it didn't work, and a thank you would be quite nice, even if it didn't work.

Posting back with results helps others looking for an answer. If we were helped, or not, then we should let everyone know it.

Unfortunately, self takes prescidence with a lot of persons, & thoughts of others benefiting from these posts never enters their minds.

The e-mail notification is more than an adequate pathway back.

I don't like it when someone DOES post back and says, 'never mind, I fixed the problem on my own', but doesn't say how. :d

Did you know that if you go to your user cp you have the option of looking at any threads to which you have subscribed - all the way back to when you first became a registered user?

Only found that one out my self early this year...
