Geforce2MxPro video card
I have a Geforce2MxPro video card and the fan on the card has stopped spinning. The fan is removable, anyone know if the fan is a replacable part? If so where one could be purchased? I have contacted the Mfr. but because of the holidays I don't expect to hear back any time soon.

Replaceable, you bet. I just got a fan locally from a shop and put it on. Already had the thermal compound to go between the fan and the processor on the chip.
The fan was the Blue orb and I use Artic Silver paste and the Thermal compound instructions are here.
Just a dab is all it took.

As Train says,,and if the new fan/heatsink doesn't want to attach with screws/standoffs available, you can use Arctic Silver's Epoxy paste to take the place of the regular compound and glue the sucker solidly down. Don't hold your breath on ever removing it again tho'...
Stupid question? No such thing!

Thanks for the input guys. Coming from the 2 of you I know I can trust the answers. A little more research on my own and I found the exact fan that will fit and for only $18.95! Compared to $125 for upgrading to a Geforce3 it's a great bargain.

If it's just the fan 486 fans work good on video vcards and chipsets...
But upgrading is good too :)...
