    extracting prog from bad sectors

    I'm trying to extract a program from a cd and am getting 12 bad sectors reported. Is there anything I can do about this? perhaps any progs that will give it the old college try at reading these sectors? (hopefully successfully)

    thanx

    have tried file copy thru windows
    thru dos
    using isobuster

    Hiya

    Does the disk itself work when you put it into the drive? If not, it may be a corrupt disk. Have you tried copying any other files on the CD, to see if its just that one program, or them all?

    Its an original 98se disk. the bad sectors appear to be in a couple folders on the disk that are called on during the install. I have tried to extract them and it didnt work out. I can extract almost the whole disk but a couple folders.
