file transfer pc running xp laptop in dos
i have laptop in dos it does not have a cd rom it has a pcmcia ethernet card with erthernet media coupler and a lead one end fits into the coupler the other end is like a phone line what you put in the junction box at your home how do i link the laptop to my pc ,my pc has win xp and is connected to the internet by lan connection broadband. please help ....i have not got a clue how to set this up please ..............................................

Unless the Laptop has Windows 3.11 WFWG installed or a DOS network program such as Novell, you have no way to set that up. There are other ways such as INTERSRV / INTERLNK programs (See Cliff's instructions) for which you would have to obtain a NUL Modem cable. Unless you have a device such as an IOMEGA ZIP drive, you will have to install Windows 95 before you can use the LAN Card.
