do you have JVM installed.......I had this problem with Yahoo games and had to install a Java Virtual Machine dn/l.....after that, everything was fine.......if this is not the case, might want to check settings or re download and reinstall....hope this helps

and btw, not working it might be trying to tell you something....eh?.......lol

JVM = Java Virtual Machine.........you can download it here.....

    http://www.softsynth.com/jsyn/support/msjavx86.exe

or as DrMDJ says you can also get it off an xp disk if that is the os you're using.....

Double check your user name and logon to make sure they are correct. If that doesn't work, try uninstalling then reinstalling the application.

Installing the JVM isn't going to help, as the installable Yahoo! Messenger application is not a java app and doesn't require java to run.

*the one that doesn't install on your machine (it is temporary) and that can be accessed via a link from the My.Yahoo homepage is a java applet...but I doubt that is what you're talking about.

I don't know if that works always, but for me, after removing a piece of software, I find it's best to restart before reinstalling....sometimes even if not reinstalling........
