Internet connection monitor
I uninstalled Zone Alarm and installed Tiny Personal Firewall but I miss the internet activity display in the system tray.
I am on ATT cable connection, IE5.5sp2, Win98FE, 800mhz and 384mb RAM.
Does anybody know of a free internet connection monitor?
Is there one available in Windows somewhere?

In the control panel, "network and dialup connections", right click your connection, choose "properties" then check the box that says, "show icon in taskbar when connected"

No go.
Win98FE (if that makes a difference)
I do not have "network and dialup connections" in control panel. I do have "Network" but going to Properties on my connection does not provide any option to add the icon.
Thanks for trying.

After making the previous post I went over to NoNags.com and they had Net Monitor in their New Today page.

Pretty close to just what I was looking for.
I simply chose to hide the meter, keeping the system tray icon active. It is not as good as the ZA system tray icon but it will do.
