can't install and run old chess game
I have 2 computers - one with Win95 I don't use much and one (newer) with WinME. The win95 came with a chess game that you can play vs the computer - the WinME has a chess game that is an online type. I decided to copy the older chess game from win95 and install on winME. I did that, but when trying to access the chess game on winME, geot error msg 'need wep4util.dll' - so, I went online and downloaded that .dll and installed it - now get message 'you may not have permission to use this file'. Appreciate if someone can tell me how/if I can fix this. All help will be appreciated. Thanks, Norm69

Get the Windows Entertainment Pack (WEP) off the Master CD, insert CD in drive; Open My Computer; right-click the CDROM icon and choose Explore, and open folder until you find the correct folder and copy it to your HDD. Run the .exe to set up WEP.
No CD? forget it, Ziggaraut cheats anyway!
I apologise for stating something you already know.

update on 'can't install and run chess game.'
First, thanks for responses.
Second, Styx - you're right, Ziggaraut does cheat. I especially hate it when he's beaten and then changes sides right before mate. Your suggestion on extracting the WEP file from the CD would be good except Win95 is an HP, and the recover disc won't open with a right click and explore routine. I know if I'm on the HP I can use F10 to search for the file, etc., but that won't work with the winME cause it is a SONY and it won't do HP things. I guess I'll have to play chess on the Win95 machine.

Next, for Georgequ - I downloaded and installed the VBRUN file, but I still got the same message - so, I couldn't get it to work that wayl

Again, thanks to both for the suggestions.
