    Windows 98se HELP

Windows 98SE. Internet Explorer 6. Connected to Internet OK.
Did Start-Help & Windows Help screen appears ok.
Skewed to "troubleshooting and displayed Startup ok.
Hilited "Startup&Shutdown troubleshooter" and clicked Display.
Displayed in right hand window ok. Clicked on "click here" to start the troubleshooter. "what problems are you having?" showed in right hand screen. Any selection and clicking Next results in a blank display in the right hand window.
    Can anybody help me please?
    Thanking you in advance

Saw something similar some time ago with Win95 OS. It was installed as a minimum install (designed for Laptops) and had no help files etc installed. Is it possible you did a minimum install when you installed Windows? That's all I can think of for now.

Microsoft HTML Help Downloads I think this is what you might need.

    Hi all,
I have the very same problem. The last time I used it all went well but its not working now all the rest of help is ok just the troubleshooting part. I installed IE6 in the last month could this have something to do with the problem. It was suggested on this forum that I download Huupd.exe from the microsoft download site which I did but it said that my files were a new version and so all I could do was click OK

Mo, don't know whether you saw the duplicate topic thread I started here later (not seeing yours), but got an input there from Rog pointing me to this note from Mosaic1 on the Tech Support Guy forum. Mosaic's tshoot.txt attachment fixes a registry problem that was apparently causing my blank page problem...also worked for Topsie. Give it a shot.
